Workshop materials, lunch and refreshments will be provided for the duration of the workshop. The fee excludes travel, boarding and lodging costs. The workshop fee should be paid in full by 30th April 2014. Payment must be made by Wire transfer/ Demand Draft in favour of “Samarth”, payable at Chennai. The number of participants for each of these workshops is restricted to 35.

Accommodation facility on a twin sharing basis at a subsidized rate is available on campus which can be provided on a first come first served basis. Alternatively, we have attached details of hotels in Vellore for your reference.
 

Refund of Fees: No refund of course fee will be possible after 5th May 2014.

ICSSR Sponsored Two-Week Capacity Building Workshop for Young Faculty in Social Sciences

Dates: 16-29 April, 2014.
Organisers: Sikkim University, Gangtok (A Central University) and ICSSR, New Delhi. 
Venue: Sikkim University, Gangtok (Sikkim) INDIA. 

Who may apply?: The course is open for young faculty members from all disciplines of Social- Sciences located in research institutions, colleges and universities.

Application Requirement: Along with the application form (Annexure-I) an applicant should send-
(a) A brief CV explaining all academic details with work experience and publications.
(b) 200-words write-up on how research engagement will influence his/her teaching and engagement with the students.

          The paper writers can follow the APA guidelines as specified for the articles. The books will be published by a reputed publisher from India within a short period after the last date of submission of papers.   Kindly send a hard copy of the paper(s) along-with a soft copy of the paper(s) in word CD at your earliest to the mailing address cited below so that the book(s) may be finalized for publication at an early date. It should be ensured that the papers submitted are the original work of the author(s)/unpublished  and are not be submitted elsewhere.  Papers may also be submitted through E-mail.  The last date for submission of paper is March 31, 2014.
