About:
The Eleventh edition of the Faculty Development Programme (FDP-2019) at Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIMI). FDP-2019 is a specialized programme for skill enhancement and career development of mid-career professors at graduate and post-graduate business schools, and is scheduled to be conducted between April 22 to May 25, 2019. In previous editions, the FDP programme has been effective in creating a unique platform for business school faculty from around the country to engage in skill development (teaching and research), and identify best practices to deploy in their curricula.

FDP-2019 is a 5-week residential programme which aims to engage faculty members to explore and refresh their skills in research, pedagogy, case writing and overall enhancing of academic skills. The programme has been instrumental in bringing diverse backgrounds to the classroom; something that lets participants learn from each other. Participants of FDP-2019 will also participate in the 10th Conference on Excellence in Research and Education (CERE) at IIM Indore. 

The programme duration is from April 22 to May 25, 2019.
The last date for receipt of completed application form is March 30, 2018.
Applicants are required to fill the application form available on our website and mail it to the address given in the brochure along with their detailed resume and programme fee via Electronic Fund Transfer only.

Programme Design:
The primary thrust of the 5-week programme will be to equip the participants with contemporary research and teaching skills. Emphasis will also be given to understanding of philosophy of management, design and development of learning resources and so on. The course would contain following modules:

• Module 1 Case and Teaching Skill Development
• Module 2 Research Methodology
• Module 3 Research Skill Development
• Module 4 Perspectives on Management
• Module 5 Area wise specialization elective courses

The last week of the FDP will be a specialization for faculty members pertaining to specific areas to have focused discussions on their areas. Typically 3-4 different areas will be identified for such special electives and participants are required to attend sessions pertaining to their areas of interest. Sessions will be conducted in parallel. Suggested readings for each module would be provided before commencement of the programme. Participants would also attend the ’10th International Conference on Excellence in Research and Education’ (CERE 2019) organized by IIM Indore.
