About the Book Fair: New Delhi World Book Fair (NDWBF) held for the past 40 years is now a major calendar event in the publishing world.
Dates: 4th to 10th February, 2013.
Time: Daily 11:00 AM -08:00 PM
Venue: Pragati Maidan exhibition grounds, New Delhi, INDIA.
Organiser: The Fair is organised by National Book Trust, India, an apex body of the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development. The Fair is co-organised by India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), the nodal agency of the Government of India, Ministry of Commerce for promoting the country's external trade.
Guest of Honor Country: This year France is a Guest of Honor Country at the New Delhi World Book Fair. Traditionally, France is known for its strong publishing industry. France as the focus country will present glimpses of the industry and its writings through a large contingent of French publishers. Besides, many authors and scholars from France will engage in discussions and conversations with the Indian counterparts at the many literary programmes and professional round tables to be organised during the Fair. The vibrant cultural heritage of France with its music, food as well as cinema and other cultural performances will form a major component of French presentation. Theme: "Indigenous Voices: Mapping India's Folk and Tribal Literature".
