‘National Library Week’ from April 08 – 13, 2019.
The
highlights are:
1. Display of
Smithsonian Exhibition that explores the history and
challenges of fighting infectious diseases,
2. Quiz programs for the walk in and online patrons
3. Several other activities
to encourage library usages and reading habit among patrons.
4. Round table discussion: As part of the celebrations, we invite you
to join us for a round table discussion on "Proactive
Librarianship: Connecting Communities" on
Thursday, April 11, 2019; from 2.30 – 4.30pm at
Dosti House.
This year’s theme by ALA, Libraries = Strong
Communities, illustrates how today’s libraries are at the
heart of our cities, towns, schools and campuses, providing
critical resources, programs and expertise. They also provide
a public space where all community members, regardless of age,
culture or income level, can come together to connect and
learn. The discussion will focus on
designing library programs and services that
encourage community members to meet and discuss various
issues. We encourage you to come prepared to learn and share
ideas on the topic.
