About: With the increasing urbanisation, public health is an increasing area of interest. The clinical health cannot be separated from the complex socio-cultural and economic context. The health care systems have become very dynamic to meet this challenging situation. The programme intends to have the following objectives:
• To understand the issues of urban public health in India and the practices of public and private health care systems,
• To provide opportunity for cross-cultural experiences on Urban health issues through Group study, Seminar and Field based internship,
• To provide exposure to multifaceted culture in India.
Course Duration: January 2 - 21, 2012
Eligibility: Master's students of Public Health or related disciplines from any US, UK, Australia & Europe based Universities.
No. of seats : Limited to 15 only
Award of Credits : 3 credits @ 1 credit for 1 week
Facilities available on Campus:
a) Food: Institute Dining Hall- Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will cost about 5USD a day, nearby restaurants will cost about 10-15US a day.
b) Transportation: Airport pick up /drop will be provided on request which will cost about 20USD
c) Accommodation: Guest House- Single occupancy room (USD800), Doubled occupancy (USD400)
Fees: Internship Fees USD300
